set environment variable
Hi..
I need to set an environment variable in Basic MSI project...
i clicked on env view and added a new variable.
Then "on install"="set"
I also associated a component in "new component"
I created an setup.exe file .
i ran this file..while it was running it flashed an error namely "selection manager not initalized"
my environment var has not been set

Is your component attached to a feature? What other properties did you enter for the environment variable?

If it appears under a feature in the Setup Design view, it's attached; or if it has a red icon over it in the Components view, it's not attached...
