I'd like to have a Property which is set to the Date of when an installer is created. Or to insert a date string as the argument to an .exe called in a custom action. When I use the [Date] property, I get the date the installer is run, not the date it was created. What am I missing here?
If nothing else, you could use InstallShield Automation or the like to insert a property containing the build date in the Property table, but I'm not aware of anything built in. (There might be something in the Summary Information stream, but it's less convenient to access.)
