Hello,everybody
I installed an app several days ago
but I lost my upgrade code because of some changes
Now I want to upgrade it but I lost my upgrade code
How can I get it through previous EXE install file?

Hm.
As a suggestion:
1. Install previous EXE installer.
2. Open Registry editor (start->run->regedit)
3. Under one of these keys
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products
you will find your application. Remember the name of its registry key (it would be something like 904000001E872D116BF00006799C897E).
4. Then under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\ UpgradeCodes
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\UpgradeCodes
Look for value found in step 3. Key under which you found it is almost you Upgrade code.
Almost because it is “coded”.
For example: if you found 7E2616AC35613E247AB4E6B70EBF56A1, the Upgrade Code is
{CA6162E7-1653-42E3-A74B-6E7BE0FB651A}
7E2616AC 3561 3E24 7AB4 E6B70EBF56A1
But I more than sure that it is not the best solution. There should be some easier way :confused:
