how to run sql query for patch

I have to create a patch thru Patch design view in installshield 2008 for my older installer(It was also in installshield

2008).
I have a requirement of executing the sql queries for the patch project. Previously i was doing it by writing the code for

the same in installscript. Can anybody tell me where can i write the code for the same so that sql queries can be execute

only for the patch

Are you trying to run the sql queries from an InstallScript custom action? If so, you just need to specify 'PATCH' for the condition of your custom action.
