how to include different installing actions in 1 MSI file?

hi,

my requirement is:

1. Check the version number. If it is a major update, do a complete installation with overwriting all files included in the installer.
2. Check the version number. If it is a minor update, do part installation with overwriting some of the files included in the installer.
3. If the version number to be installed is the same as already installed, provide the options to repair or cancel.

All of the above actions should be included in 1 MSI file with one-click operation.

Can anybody provide any hints on how to do this? Thanks in advance.
