file should not be uninstalled

One of my files from installation should not be uninstalled.
Ist there a way to flag a file or a component that this file will not be uninstalled?

Hi ,
simple way is to retain the file after uninstallation ,is make the compenent as permanent.

go to components ->select the component that u wanted to retain -> in general tab -> mark Permanent = Yes.
