.exe to .mse

hello all,

i am very new to package building. the company i work for has installshield 2010. i was wondering can i use installshield 2010 to create a .msi through the capture of an installation of a .exe?

Assuming the .exe package isn't based on MSI, some editions of InstallShield include the Repackager tool. If yours doesn't, AdminStudio includes that functionality.
