custom action for sxs.
hi!
One of the files on my InstallScript MSI needs to run "Visual C++ 8.0 CRT (x86) WinSXS MSM" the merge module.
Well i need create a custom action for this with install exec conditions, i use in the custom action "call a function in a windows installer dynamic-link library" located in the "bin table" but the problem is the source, i don't know where is the database that contains "SxsUninstallCA", this use a function named "CustomAction_SxsMsmInstall" so i need to download some object to include this database?.
thanks 🙂
P.D. i have installed "Windows 7 RC", where is the dll that use the function "CustomAction_SxsMsmInstall" or "SxsUninstallCA"

If you build a project with that merge module and then open the MSI file in Direct Edit mode, you should see SxsInstallCA and SxsUninstallCA present in the sequences. Will that do?

Hi Robert!
It is possible to install the merge module "Visual C++ 8.0 CRT (x86) WinSXS MSM" in silent mode or modify any command line?
thanks.
