chained .msi uninstall
I would like to get some attention on this problem.
My project requires a SQL instance installation which I solved with a prerequisite.
Chained .msi seems to be the solution for for the uninstall, but I've not been able to get it to work. I do have WI 4.5 specified as a prerequisite, but basic questions remain. I think they are straightforward enough:
I can manually execute the instance uninstall with the following command: msiexec /qb /x sqlrun11.msi.
When configuring chained .msi package, How should these be set: "Removal Properties:", "Release flags:"? Is "Installation (run-time path):" the full path of sqlrun11.msi? Should "Removal condition:" be set to REMOVE=ALL? Since I don't want it run on install, what should "Install condition:" be set to?
Would really appreciate your response.
Thanks

Have you read the help documents? In particular, I think the note under Install Condition on http://helpnet.acresso.com/Robo/BIN/Robo.dll?tpc=/robo/projects/installshield15helplib/ChainedMSIPackages.htm will answer most of your question.
