build time sucks

So I have 32GB of ram and 4 CPU's, yet isdev.exe only uses 273MB of ram and takes 20 minutes to extract the com data from 15 components.

How can I improve this?

well, 2013 takes less than 2 minutes and 2012 takes over an hour to complete. Good reason to switch.

What is your COM projects compatibility settings? Are the interfaces changing often? I'd reccommend doing a one time COM extract and not do COM extract during a build.
