We register some of our own executable file extensions and install a fair number of these during installation. The component wizard does a good job of automatically creating and naming components when you select a whole bunch of executables. is there a way to extend IS's awareness of other executable filetypes? is there a plan for this in the future?
I think that the Component Wizard currently creates separate components for the following file types: EXE, DLL, OCX, VXD, CHM, HLP, TLB, AX
We are looking into making this list of file extensions configurable in a future release. It'd probably be a field in the Options dialog box (available from the Tools menu). So, stay tuned.
