XP - IIS - webservice has wrong path

I have an MSI project that worked fine using IS2009. I upgraded to IS 2010 and rebuilt the project.

Now when we install it on an XP machine the IIS virtual directory get the wrong path. Instead of the real path (c:\inet....) we get the keyword as the path (ISMYVIRTDIRPATH).

Any thought?

Can you clarify what is receiving the wrong path, a web service extension (which are not supported on XP/IIS 5.1) or a virtual directory? If it is a virtual directory, please go to the Direct Editor in your project and select the ISIISProperty table. In this table, look for a property with the name (in the FriendlyName column) of 'Path'. What is the value stored in the MetaDataValue column for this property?

Also, if possible, please attach a verbose log of this installation.
