XML File Changes not being executed during upgrade
I am using the XML File Changes option to update an already installed XML file. This option updates the XML during installation and removes the entries during uninstallation.
But this option is not getting executed after upgrading the installer. I want to update the XML during upgrade as well.
Is there something I can do regarding this?

Have you tried creating a Windows Installer verbose log for the installation? The XML file changes are explicitly tied to component states. You may be able to find some more information as to why the component associated with your XML file change thinks it does not need to reinstall.

Thanks for your reply. I have manage to get the upgrade working.
I have another query. Is there any means by which we will be able to prompt an error if the XML that we are trying to update using XML file changes option is not found in that particular location. At present what happens in this scenario is that the installer does not perform the XML file changes and neither does it prompt an error. I need to prompt an error message when the XML cannot be found.
