Wrong Behavior Custom Actions
As a follow-up of: http://community.macrovision.com/showthread.php?t=176611
I`m having a bit of a problem. When I run my installer I want my merge Module to install a service, and with the uninstall it has to be removed. Not to much of a problem would you say, indeed. Unless it doesnt work ofcourse.
When I run my installer, it installs the service correctly. But when I run the uninstaller it first uninstalls the service (using another custom action) and then installs it again... I Tried all options of setting the right execution method but none seems to work... (Rollback and Immediate dont install at all; Deferred and Commit do as I described above).
Anyone can help me a bit with this please?
Thanks in Advance,
Andurin

Have you set the correct conditions on your installs custom actions?
Not Installed
REMOVE~="ALL"

Inabus,
Thank you for your quick reply. Could you give me a little headstart where I can find these conditions?

Ah... Just overlooked it. 🙂
Insert Action > Condition...
For the Install Service use REMOVE <> "ALL" and to remove it use REMOVE = "ALL". Wish I knew this sooner 😛 Problem solved!
