Windows installer 3.1 service is getting installed!!

When i start my Product to install by clicking on Setup.exe on WINDOWS XP MACHINE , Windows installer 3.1 service is getting installed. After completion of that my product installation continues and atlast ask for system restart.

No clue from where this Windows installer 3.1 service is getting installed and i can see this in add and remove Program.

Kindly suggest me why and from where this Windows installer 3.1 service is getting installed on Window XP machine.

Is the restart popup is coming from your product ?If so then can you check the log file of the product to see whats happening
