Windows Service Uninstall?
Hi all:
I am creating an install project for a Windows service, and the installation seems to work fine. However I cannot seem to find any good documentation on how to include an uninstallation feature. I did try the feature that adds an uninstall icon, but the uninstallation does not complete successfully.
Can anyone point me at a good information source that covers how to set the installation kit to perform a uninstallation of the service?
Thanks for any and all help.
John.

John,
For installshield 2010:
1. Go to the organization folder, expand.
2. Go to the list of your components on the left side. expand.
3. CLick on your exe for the service. expand.
4. Advanced Services, expand haha
5. Click on Services, expand
6. I'm assuming your service is showing up here, if not right click and 'add service'
7. Click on the service itself.
8. Down below in the right pane, you'll see a heading for 'Control Settings'
Here you can set all sorts of things, start on install etc.... but you are mostly concerned with 'Uninstall Delete' = Yes.
