Windows 8 Tile properties

Hi All,
just wondering if someone can answer this query as i have yet to package for Windows 8 or 8.1

Can an existing MSI be tailored so the application is automatically added to the tiled screen (not start menu)

No, this isn't possible. On Windows 8, a tile is automatically pinned for a ProgramMenuFolder shortcut unless you prevent it. On Windows 8.1, a tile is never automatically pinned for a shortcut.
