Windows 8.1 UAX versus Win 7 code signing problems
I have an installation built with InstallShield Spring 2012 Spring.
It is code signed with a valid certificate and requires elevated permissions. On Win 7, when the setup is launched, UAC starts and properly report the publisher as my client. On win 8/8.1 is says unknown publisher.
How can this be?
Has anyone else seen this?
Any ideason what might be going on? it makes no sense to me.

When you right click on the EXE does it show the signing tab on Windows 8.1? IF so what does it report?
You are right though, this is strange.
