Why some properties are strings while others aren't
I was wondering about the logic in installshield that decides how certain properties (in the property table) are represented as strings in the .ism file while others are not.
Example:
This one is represente as a string
ENCRYPTED_BRAND_LEN##ID_STRING14##
while this one is not:
GFG_FILEGFG_ROOT.xml
I see no way to specifiy if the value I enter in the property table for a new property should considered as a string. I would like certain properties to be language independent eg: DO_SOMETHING_FLAG
I guess I can manually edit the .ism file ( which is in the xml format ), but is there a better way ?
Thanks for your help

Please see the help topic "Property Manager View", esp. the links to information about localizable properties.
