Why do we have to use Minor Upgrade?
I understand that Major upgrade involves Product Code change and change in Major version number. But putting these things ahead, seeing in the perspective of installation and uninstalation, I dont see any advantage of using Minor Upgrade over Major Upgrade apart from the fact that Major Upgrade takes time to install (do uninstallation and installation).
Minor upgrades cannot be reverted back just like Major Upgrades. So why put all the efforts to update RemoveFile table etc? Why cant we use Major Upgrade always?
Please help me to understand.

You don't have to use minor upgrades. We always release major upgrades.
However, minor upgrades can be useful if you are only replacing a few files and want to be able to release as a small patch rather than a full installation, for example.
