Why IS2008 needs admin privileges
Hello,
I've read in the documentation that IS2008 needs Admin privileges to work correctly, but there is nowhere explained a reason for this. What happens, if we work with a non-Administrator account in IS 2008?, Which problems can occur?

I believe I heard that it's the COM extraction functionality that needs elevation to do it's registry sniffing magic. I also think I heard that this may get refactored in a future release.
