What is CommonFilesFolder?
Can someone please explain to me what the CommonFilesFolder is, or point me to where I can learn more? What I'm wondering is:
- What's it common to? The user? The machine? The software publisher?
- What typically should go in there?
- Where is it typically located on the hard drive?
Thank you very much!

I believe it's intended for files common to multiple products from the same vendor; it's usually C:\Program Files\Common Files, and you can look around in yours to see what kind of thing goes in there.
