Upgrading from IS X Pro to IS 2012 Pro
My company has a product installation package (UIP) project created using IS X Pro. The installation package includes numerous custom java beans which run under the swing panel and sequence step wizards.
We are migrating our product from WinXP to Win7, and in the process upgrading the dev tools to get there. We just bought IS 2012 Pro, and I cannot get it to even recognize the UIP project file.
Is there any simple conversion possible to avoid having to construct the complete installation from scratch?
Thanks,
/e

That sounds like a project that was created with InstallShield MultiPlatform or InstallShield Universal, which both had support for not just Windows-based target systems, but other platforms, too. InstallShield 2012 does not have support for creating or opening those types of projects. InstallAnywhere may have support for that. You may want to post that question on one of the InstallAnywhere forums. If you are targeting just Windows and you want to use InstallShield 2012, you'd need to start over from scratch.
