Upgrade SQL 2005 Express to SQL 2008 R2 alongwith Management Studio Express
Hi,
With previous release of my software i have delivered SQL 2005 Express edition alongwith Management studio to customers.
Now with new version i would like to deliver SQL 2008 Express.
For new suctomers its fine, i can straightway install SQL 2008 R2 Express
But for existing customers, i need to upgrade SQL 2005 Express to SQL 2008 r2. For server part i am able to upgrade the same without any problem.
But for Management studio express there is no upgrade path provided.
Has anybody idea how to upgrade SQL Management Studio 2005 Express to Management Studio 2008 R2 Express.
Thanks in advance.:D

I got the same Problem, und found now answer by now.
At this time, my setup determines if ManagementStudio2005 is installed, and prompt the user to uninstall. It's not the best way, but it works.
