We are using InstallShield for some time and everything looks good except service upgrade. After the installation if we set Log On user for the service to be some domain user, minor upgrade will fail. Apparently, installer will use Log On user context to reinstall service files instead of context on account that runs upgrade (admin). Is there a workaround for this problem? Can we just replace files without reinstalling the service?
