To understand the InstallShield Limited Edition for VS 2010 functionalities

I would like to understand if this InstallShield Limited Edition for VS 2010 functionalities tool can creat a backup and uninstallation of previous application, then and install new application.

What is difference between this InstallShield Limited Edition for VS 2010 functionalities and full grown version of the Installshield.

Hello Angel,

You could create a Major Upgrade in InstallShield Limited Edition but not Minor Upgrade. For backing up your application you could use a VBScript Custom Action.

InstallShield Limited Edition is used to create very basic installer and minimal functionalities are included where as in other editions of InstallShield (Premier, Professional and Express) various features and functionalities are included.
