System search during un-installation
Hi,
Platform: Vista, MSI
I have an issue related to system search feature. My requirement is like this.
I need to get the registry key value during un-installation.
So I created a system search entry for that with root as HKLM and registry key as "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
But during uninstallation that value of [UN_INTSTALL_PRODUCT_NAME] is NULL even if registry key "DisplayName" is present.
I verified that system search feature is working fine during installation.
Do you have any idea ?
Thanks
Jav

Hi,
Is UN_INTSTALL_PRODUCT_NAME added to the secureCustomProperties property?
Thanks.

Log the install (or uninstall) and see if the property is being set (or why not) and if it's being unset somewhere.
