System Search

Hi
I have an application whose installation should not continue if MS Office is not installed.
So i used System Search .A msg box will pop up if MS Office is not installed.
When i tried installing the application on a machine containing MS Office i get the same msg box prompting me to install MS Office ..

PLEASE HELP..

Thanks in advance..

Can you post a few more details on how you created your System Search, and how you're getting the message box to pop up? The issue is probably in those details.

Hi
To be more precise, the installation of application shud continue if MS Office is present and halt if not.

In System Search i entered the following.

Registry Root:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Registry Key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9}
Store in Property:Search_Office
Additional Options:Store Value in Property and use the property in an install condition

Then in AppSearch table
Property:Search_Office
Signature:NewSignature1

In LaunchCondition table
Condition:Search_Office
Description:Continue installation after installing MS OFFICE

But i get the same msg "Continue installation after installing MS OFFICE"
when i try running the application in a machine having MS OFFICE and not having MS OFFICE.

Thanks in advance..

System searches should be associated with a public property, which is a property whose name contains no lowercase letters; perhaps try SEARCH_OFFICE instead of Search_Office.
