I am using the Installscript Msi project of InstallShield 2008. Scenario: We have defined a system search (Behavior and logic -> System Search) which search for an entry in the XML file and store it in a property. It works fine for new installation and maintenance of the same version. But when we run the minor upgrade over that version then the property is coming blank like system search operation is not working for minor upgrade.
I have found the below entries in the log file: Action 18:27:00: ISXmlAppSearch. Action start 18:27:00: ISXmlAppSearch. Action ended 18:27:00: ISXmlAppSearch. Return value 0.
While at the time on new installation or maintanance Return value is coming as 1 of IsXmlAppSearch with the proper result in the property. Can anyone throw some light over this behavior and give me some resolution?
