Suggestions on purchasing IS2013 or IS2014

I am searching for my company to purchase InstallShield (Pro.), since the last one I used is IS2010, I would like to get some suggestions/recommendations from actual users on picking IS2013 or IS2014.

In addition, I also have the following questions -

  • Do both support 32-bit and 64-bit builds and installations?
  • Are there any installation concers for Windows servers (from 2003 to 2012 or newer)?
  • What's cost difference between per user/per machine and concurrent user license?
  • How many standalone build license is ijncluded for each purchased license (I remember we had 10 several years ago, IS2010 or IS2008/9)?

You input is highly appreciated.

Hi Peter,

Yes you can build both 32 and 64 bit installs in both. However, I don't believe you are able to purchase previous versions of Installshield. I would strongly suggest contacting Flexera with your remaining questions. You can also evaluate the new version for free on the following link:
