Subsequent QuickPatch deletes nonversioned file that was deleted/added
Hi,
In my installation I have a third party un versioned exe file that I needed to replace with a new version. Simply checking the "Overwrite Any Existing File" did nothing, it left the old version of the file, so I had to delete the existing file and add a new one. It did work, but...
Any subsequent Quick Patch would remove the new file and left my installation without it.
Why is that? How to prevent it?
The author of the third party exe, simply doesn't care, so I changed the version myself and set a different version. At first it seemed I resolved it, only to found out that the file was again deleted after applying a new patch...
I am using InstallShield Express 2016 .
