Source Safe Intergration Not Working

I wonder why a simple process is not working?!
I am trying to add my project to a source safe data base both through IS ide and VSS.

In either methods i cannot check out files from IS ide.

Can you try applying the fix in this KB article and see if that fixes the issue?

Note that i dont use visual studio 2005 at all.

It is still not working all i get is

"Add to source control"

and

"Launch SourceSafe" enabled,other options are disabled
