SQL statment to set IS property

Is there anyway to execute a SQL statement and have the return value be used to set a InstallShield Property?

InstallShield currently does not support the functionality. At this time, you need to write your own custom action in a preferred language (InstallScript, VBScript, or C++) that manages a connection and SQL statements in order to accomplish your requirements.
