SQL Server 2008 Support

Hi,

Does IS 2009 support connecting & executing SQL scripts to SQL Server 2008 Express? I've changed the Microsoft SQL Server Requirement to major version 10.00, and Service Pack 1600, with both "Any Greater..." checkbox ticked, and it didn't work.

FYI, I don't have SQL Server 2008 installed on target machine (and I wouldn't need so), as it should be on remote computer. Did I miss any requirements?

Thanks in advance.

If you removed the requirement, are you able to connect and execute SQL scripts against SQL Server 2008 Express? The requirement that you specify is correct to limit only targeting SQL Server 2008 RTM and higher. I am wondering if you have the same problem without specifying the requirement. Also, if you install InstallShield 2009 SP2, you will have the predefined requirement named "SQL Server 2008 RTM (Release To Manufaturing)".
