Regular Expressions?

Project Type: InstallScript

I've been looking for a way to do this but I haven't found it. Is there a way to run a regular expression on a string in InstallScript code? I need to cut out some part of the string and a regular expression would be the simplest way to do it.

Nothing built in, but search these forums for "regexp" for examples of extensions (as [thread=160858]here[/thread]).
