Registry Path Variables?
Does anyone know how to declare a registry path variable? The help says you can do it but does not offer a clue how to do it.
I am trying to install an add-in. What I am looking for is a way to get the install path (already on the target machine's registry key before my add in is installed) and use it for the install path of my files.
I was thinking that was what a Registry Path Variable would do.

Perhaps look at this old newsletter tip (PDF): http://www.acresso.com/webdocuments/PDF/is_install_dir_from_app_search.pdf.
A "path variable" refers to a path on your development system or build system, and not an end user's system, so it wouldn't help in this case.
