REPAIR - Please help.
Hi,
Im using an Installscript project.
What does the repair function do exactly on the sdWelcomeMaint dialog.
Does it reinstall all the files?
Does it reinstall files that have been changed?
I have no clue...
Please help, as I need to know urgently.
Thanks.

It's not a InstallShield question/operation per se., it's a windows installer standard operation, though it can be modified somewhat by your installer.
by default, it'll check for the components detailed in the install, if not present, it'll put them in, if present, it'll compare versions - if file on system is older, it'll replace - same or newer, it'll leave be.

For an InstallScript project the Repair operation simply reinstalls the same files that were originally installed. If this is started from the Add/Remove applet then the user will be prompted for the original media so the installer will have access to the original files.
However, I am not sure if the repair option obeys the overwrite properties of the files. More specifically, if the repair option will overwrite a "Never Overwrite" filegroup.
