After using the Quick Patch wizard on a base project, is is possible to manually update the base project files that it decompresses and extracts the msi from without rerunning the wizard?
I'm working with QuickPatch projects for the first time now, and it seems like if you want to change the base installation reference, you would have to delete the QuickPatch project and start over.
From what I read, the base installation part has to be done through the QuickPatch wizard.
However, since it's my first time and I don't know everything, you might be able to fool it by rebuilding the base installation msi file by going into the project for the base installation and rebuilding it there. Then come back to the QuickPatch project and rebuild it. It would be an experiment.
