Quick Patch Tutorial?

Hi All,

Is anyone able to give me a brief guide on how to create a quick patch?

I'm using Install Shield express with Visual Studio 2012.

I have looked through the help files which mention a quick patch wizard, but never tell you where this option can be found.

I've looked for tutorials, but with little luck. A few forum posts have mentioned a quick patch project, but the only project type I have available is 'InstallShield Limited Edition Project'.

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I struggling to find the relevant info.

It sounds like you are using the Limted edition of InstallShield, not the Express edition. The Limited edition does not have support for creating QuickPatch projects. The Express edition does.

Ah, that would make sense!

I'm used to the express meaning free, as in Visual studio and SQL Management express versions.

Thanks for the response. I'll bother the boss for an express licence.
