Paging joshstechnij - Windows 7 Problem
Josh,
You solved a problem with Windows 7 in the following post
http://community.flexerasoftware.com...hlight=typelib
Thanks.
Although adding the environment variable and restarting IS2010 as you suggested did not help. What made it work for me was to turn UAC up at least one level on my development machine. I am at IS 2010 Ver 16 SP1 HF 52410.
My question is... will this be fixed in IS 2011?
The reason I ask is that I have other software to run on that machine that requires that UAC be turned off. If this is resolved in 2011, so that I can run with UAC off that would be great.
Thanks Again.

A code-based solution was included for IS 2011 that is equivalent to having the environment variable set as mentioned in the other thread.
If setting this variable did not help (the original issue being keys in HKCR\Interface or HKCR\TypeLib are missing from COM extraction results), then you are likely seeing an unrelated issue that we would need to investigate further.
