I have made the installer but when i upgrade the version lets say from 6_0_1 to 6_0_2 , Its showing me the upgrade pop up but not actually upgrading please help !!!
You sounded like our QA's, screaming the build was not working but did not provide enough details. 🙂
After your upgrade notification popped up, did it go through all the dialogs to "Finish" but none of your files were updated, or did it just die after the pop up and really nothing happened.
You mentioned the version number of your setup is changed. Does your setup intend to be a minor or major upgrade? Any other settings changes other than the version number?
Sorry for not providing more details but i posted this thread in a hurry well Its a setup.exe and when i double click and if R6_0_1 is installed and i have updated the version in install shield to R6_0_2 then its showing me a message box "Do you want to upgrade" I said "yes " it says copying new files it completes all the steps and finally shows the finish dialog box.
I have set the same key for product & upgrade in my installer. I have enabled upgrade options. please let me know the steps if any ?
