No message coming on executing the lower version installer over the higher one.

Hi,

I have created an installer having the product version say 1.2.0 and just update the same installer, changed its product version to say 1.3.0.

Now i first successfully installed 1.3.0. Then i tried setup.exe of 1.2.0. Installer does not proceed further, it doesn't even goto the OnBegin() function.
Result is none. No message window, no error. Nothing happens.

But when i tried the msi of the same version 1.2.0 then the error message occurs like "Another version of this product is already installed....".

Can any one tell me about this behavior and how can i get the same message or something like this from setup.exe?

Please let me know asap as one of our version is already in production.

Please let me know if it is a bug, so that i can go for the some other option.
