Hi,
I'm using InstallShield 2022. I have the following scenario.
Product version 1..4 have upgrade code A
Product version 5..7 have upgrade code B
Can version 8 be set up so that it would be a major upgrade to versions 1..4 and 5..7? If it is possible, how?
regards,

Hi @KennethR,
Thank you for your post.
If you have InstallShield Professional Edition (now renamed to InstallShield Edition) or InstallShield Premier Edition, you could try configuring one Major Upgrade Item for Upgrade Code A (You would need to select the option to specify the Upgrade Code in the Major Upgrade Item.) and one Major Upgrade Item for Upgrade Code B. Please give this a try, rebuild your project, then retest this issue. What are your test results?
If you are using the InstallShield Express Edition, you could try with 2 Upgrade Paths instead of 2 Major Upgrade Items, but the principle would be the same--one Upgrade Path for Upgrade Code A and one Upgrade Path for Upgrade Code B.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks!
