MsiProcessDrivers CA questions
Hi.
I have some questions regarding the 'MsiProcessDrivers' CA.
So here they are:
-Why is it an Immediate Execution (and not a deferred CA in system context)?
-Is it somehow possible to display a status text for the progress bar for this CA? Since this does only work for deferred CA´s, right?
Thanks,
-Nick

I don't know the implementation details of that custom action, but a quick test suggests that it sets the values of some MSI properties, which needs to happen during immediate mode. You're right, of course, that if the action makes any system changes that it should be scheduled for deferred mode...

MsiProcessDrivers (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms790292.aspx) simply exists to set up the driver installation process for the deferred actions.
