More on .NET 3.5 assemblies added to installer as dependencies.
Installshield 2009 with service pack 2.
Hi,
An earlier post http://community.installshield.com/showthread.php?p=422443 described a problem whereby some .NET 3.5 core assemblies were being added as dependencies to an installer. The suggested solution was to edit the Filters.xml file and add the .NET 3.5 assemblies to the list of excluded files.
User MichaelU stated that a work order #IOC-000074105 had been raised to have these assemblies formally added to IS 2009.
In a referenced sub-post referring to IS 2008 http://community.installshield.com/showthread.php?t=181559 user Christopher Painter stated that he could not reproduce the problem in IS 2009 and MichaelU stated that 2009 was fixed in this regard by a formal update to the filters list.
I'm still encountering this issue.
Has this filters.xml update work order been completed in IS 2009 + SP2 or do I still need to patch the filters.xml file myself? If the file has already been patched, what lines should I be looking for within it in order to verify that I have the patched file?
Regards

I am also running Installshield 2009 with service pack 2.
In my Filters.xml file there are entries of the form
but nothing for GAC="35"
Is there an updated Filters.xml file to download?
