Major upgrade problems
I'm using the the SAB's command line switch -z to pass in the ProductCode, PackageCode and ProductVersion. Those codes are different from build to build. But all builds share same UpgradeCode.
In the IS 2008 IDE's Media->Upgrades panel, I added a MajorUpgrade with the "Any earlier Versions" and "Product sharing my product code" being selected.
After building the kit at command line, I verified that the built MSI package's property table has been updated with correct codes.
However, when I tried to install version 1.0.002 over 1.0.001, the MSI says that same product is installed and must be removed first.
During install, where does MSI check for the ProductCode, PackageCode and ProductVersion, from Property Table or somewhere else? If it doesn't check from the Property Table, I guess I have to use the auto interface instead of the command line to pass in those codes.

Does anyone know if it's a known issue with the -z switch for command line build?
Thanks!
Thanks!
