I use InstallScript MSI project to build package. I can install correctly first time. But I double click my setup.exe again. I think it will enter maintenance mode, but why it pops the yes/no uninstall dialog first. Why InstallScript MSI project package ask me to uninstall first? I just want it enter maintenance mode directly. Please help me to solve this problem. Thank.:confused:
P.S. I use the default setting in IS 2008 with InstallScirpt MSI project.
Changing the Enable Maintenance option in General Information|Project Properties to "No" will cause this behavior. If this is set to No, change it back to Yes and then rebuild and test the project again.
Thanks for reply, I know why the I must remvoe previous version first. Because I always click the "Run" button in InstallShield 2008. If I just double click setup.exe excutable file. it will enter the maintenance mode. 🙂
