MSI uninstallation stops web site!
I've created a MSI package that creates a Virtual Directory in the ISV folder under the Microsoft Dynamics CRM web site. This all works perfectly during the installation, but when uninstalling the application, while the files, VD and registry settings are removed, the "Microsoft Dynamics CRM" Web Site is then stopped ! ! !
When trying to start the web site through the IIS Manager the following error message pops up: "The parameter is incorrect" and the web site doesn't start . . .
Naturally this makes my MSI package useless, as it will break the CRM system when trying to uninstall our software ๐
I've tested on Server 2003, 32 and 64 bit (yes, two different packages), as well as Server 2008 32 bit.
I hope someone knows the solution to this issue!

I found it . . .
Since I put the VD/Application in the CRMAppPool and I deleted this pool upon uninstallation, the Web Site wouldn't run, as it is apparently ALSO a member of the CRMAppPool . . .
I didn't even know Web Sites could be members of app pools! ๐
