Hi I run InstallShield 2011 on my home PC and my Laptop for when I go in the field (both Windows 7). When moving from one to the other, I have been deactivating the license on one, then activating it on the other. However now I can no longer activate the license on either (both are deactivated). When I try it comes up with a License already in use dialog, and at the bottom has 'Error 20676 - The license has been transferred between computers more times that is allowed...' Is this correct that there is a limit? How can I get one reactivated, as I desperately need to make an installation?
That is expected behavior. A node-locked (traditional) license of InstallShield is limited for use by a single individual on a single machine. The license can be moved from one machine to another machine a maximum of 4 times per year. Here are more details:
