Installshield fails Prerequisite even though it installs successfully

I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 through Installshield's prerequisite. The prerequisite installs successfully however Installshield reports it back as failed.

Currently the prerequisite condition is what I believe the problem is. If the condition is set using the 'registry entry has a specified version value' then Installshield reports the successful sql install back as failed.

However if I set the prerequisite condition to anything else like, 'registry entry has a specified value' then the install works correctly.

Any thoughts?

I had the same issue with IS 11.5. I solved the issue by following a post I found by an InstallShield support tech.

Basically, the condition you are looking for must change after the prerequisite is installed, or it triggers a fail.
